Mrs. Rivas holds a clinical license as a bicultural, multilingual social worker. She has over 13 years' experience within non-profits. She's worked in a variety of settings, for example, dealing with LGBTQ+ individuals, people suffering from addiction issues and survivors of sexual assault, and with partners who have been victimized. In 2019, Ms. Rivas provides services to Erie residents. The current telehealth services for mental health are available. Mrs. Rivas, who is an active member of the Behavioral Healthcare Perinatal team, which works with postpartum and pre-natal women, is a trauma-informed therapist for adults. She is also a specialist in trauma care. She provides group and individual counseling, as well as a Medication-Assisted Treatment Program, referrals to special care facilities, as well as women's support groups. Amanda assists in finding forever shelters for pets in need by being a Best Friends Animal Society Volunteer. She believes in the slogan that is the motto of Best Friends, "Save Them all" And she's determined to turn Los Angeles into a city that doesn't kill animals.
