Maureen Denise McCormick was born on the 5th of August 1956, in Woodland Hills California the youngest and sole daughter of Richard and Irene McCormick. Her mother was at home as a mother. Michael Dennis Kevin is her three elder siblings. McCormick began singing and performing in the early years of her life. McCormick won her first contest, the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest when she was just 6 years old and was contacted via Pat Domigan, a talent agent with the Jack Wormser Agency. He was interested in her desire to join the business of show production. McCormick landed her first major task in 1964 when she starred in a television commercial for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. The following year she starred as Chatty Cathy in a commercial and was then cast for Wind It up and It's Broken at The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was picked out of a crowd of over 1200 children who auditioned to be the youngest of three towheaded girls in the upcoming TV show The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson as well as Robert Reed as newlyweds with the family of a blended couple. The show ran for five seasons. In her memoir Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice which was published in 2008 McCormick admitted that in the fifth season, she almost lost her virginity due to her onscreen co-star and brother Barry Williams. She was 16 years old at the time; he was 19. She said that it would have been possible, but we didn't have the proper time to do it.
