Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter and youngest child of Richard McCormick. Her birth date was August 5, 1956, on the outskirts of Woodland Hills California. Her parents were an aunt who worked as a housewife and a father who worked as a teacher. Michael Dennis Kevin, her twin brothers. McCormick was an accomplished entertainer and singer at an early age. She would show puppet shows for the neighbors. When she was just six years old, old, she won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. McCormick was hired to star in her first major part in 1964, in an tv commercial featuring Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. She subsequently starred as Chatty Cathy in a commercial before being cast in the show Wind It up and It's Broken by The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was among 1200 other children who auditioned for the role of the eldest daughter to be a part of The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed who were newlyweds with a blended-family. The show lasted for five years. McCormick wrote in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published in 2008, McCormick told of how in the 5th season of the television show she almost lost the love of her life to her twin brother Barry Williams. At the time, she was just 16 years old and he was 19. It could have been according to her. But, the time for our marriage was not the right one.
